Large recreational park with river walks. playing fields, playground, BMX track, dog run, picnic tables and even it's own Fairy Demense! There are three ways to access Lucan Demense & St Catherine's park so I'll outline each one depending on where you want to go.
Access to playing fields, playground, BMX track and toilets
From Lucan Village cross the River liffey heading for Clonee (R149). Pass the Laraghcon estate on your right, the entrance to St Catherine's park is on your left about 400metres. After taking the turn follow the road into the park for about 600 metres until you see the large carpark on your right.
Leixlip Carpark : Opposite entrance to St Catherine's Park but close to all mentioned above.
This carpark is accessed from behind the fire station in Leixlip. Travelling through Leixlip on the R148, take the road to the right after crossing the bridge at the Salmon Leap Inn (coming from Dublin direction) and turn left before the fire station, the entrance to the park is immediately on your right. Follow the road up a very steep hill to the carpark

Follow the old Dublin road west out of Lucan village and just after the McDonalds cross the road to the small car park on your right. From the west of the city take the slip road for Lucan and the carpark is immediately on your left at the bottom of the slip road.
